I believe we can all be superheroes for someone else.
When I was little I LOVED Superhero shows. Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Power Rangers, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. And I wanted to be like that. More than anything. How great would it be to sweep in, at the most crucial time, and save the day? Amazing. Right?
But like most dreams, that we have as children, those dreams were crushed. Told that they couldn’t happen. These characters are not real. Nobody can bend steel, or fly around. And nobody wants to wear some geeky spandex in the middle of the street.
But maybe the real superheroes don’t wear spandex, bend steel with their bare hands, or fly effortlessly into the night. No. Maybe the real superheroes are the ones who care more about others, than they do themselves. Maybe the real Superheroes are the ones who are willing to put aside any potential discomfort, just to be there for someone who maybe really needs someone to talk to.
So in all, I don’t think its impossible to be a Superhero for someone.
It just might Save A LIfe.
